They also acknowledged the efforts of the Kebbi State Judiciary, security agencies and residents of the state for their prayers, encouragement and messages of support, saying the solidarity they received helped them endure the ordeal.

The source disclosed that details surrounding the judge’s release would be made public later, but did not explain whether any ransom was paid or how the release was secured.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the Kebbi State Judiciary nor the security agencies had issued an official statement confirming the judge’s release or providing further information on the circumstances surrounding the development.

Justice Bunza was abducted last week, sparking concern across Kebbi State and prompting widespread calls for security agencies to ensure his safe return.

His release brings relief to his family, colleagues and many residents who had continued to hope for his freedom.
