Speaking through Senate President Godswill Akpabio during the road’s inauguration on Tuesday, he said the communities now share the responsibility of preserving the project.
The President asked residents to avoid building along the road corridor, keep drainage channels clean and report anyone attempting to damage public property.
He said the road should improve farming, trade and daily life while securing better opportunities for future generations.
Tinubu also said his administration had ended the practice of abandoning public projects.
He stated that government would continue funding, completing and maintaining infrastructure to ensure taxpayers receive value for public spending.
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike said the road, awarded in November 2025, was completed in less than a year in line with the President’s directive to extend development to rural communities.
He added that the project fulfilled requests made by traditional rulers and residents after consultations with the FCT Administration.
