Abuja Protesters Demand Action On Insecurity

Members of the United Against Terror Movement held a peaceful march in Abuja, urging Nigerians and political leaders to work together against terrorism, kidnapping, banditry and corruption.

The demonstration took place across parts of the Federal Capital Territory as participants called for stronger efforts to address growing security concerns.

Carrying placards and banners, the protesters warned that insecurity continues to threaten national stability, economic growth and public confidence.

They argued that tackling the crisis requires cooperation across political, ethnic and religious lines.

Speaking during the rally, the group’s leaders called for better intelligence gathering, closer collaboration among security agencies and increased support for measures aimed at protecting lives and property.

They maintained that security should remain a national priority rather than a partisan issue.

The movement also urged the Federal Government to treat rising cases of terrorism and kidnapping as an emergency.

Participants pledged to continue peaceful advocacy while promoting accountability, national unity and long-term solutions to the country’s security challenges.
