Nigeria’s Defence Minister, Christopher Musa, has raised concerns over the growing impact of international conflicts on the country’s security efforts.

Speaking on the challenge, he said the wars involving Israel, Iran, the United States, Russia and Ukraine are affecting the global supply of military equipment needed to fight insecurity.

Musa explained that the situation is affecting Nigeria’s efforts to strengthen its security operations against terrorism, banditry and other criminal activities.
He said many countries are now struggling to access the equipment required to protect their citizens and maintain stability.
Despite the challenges, the minister maintained that the government remains committed to tackling insecurity.
He said authorities are exploring available options to equip security forces and ensure they remain capable of confronting threats across the country.
