Wike Unveils Massive FCT Projects
As Nigeria prepares for the third year anniversary of President Bola Tinubu’s government, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has said several major Abuja projects are ready for commissioning.
He noted that the works reflect efforts to improve infrastructure across the capital city and nearby towns.
During an inspection tour on Thursday, Wike reviewed ongoing and completed projects across the FCT.
Sites visited include the Jahi-Gwarimpa interchange, Airport Expressway to Kuje Road, Kuje to Gwagwalada Road, parts of the Outer Southern Expressway, and upgrades at the Abuja City Gate.
Wike explained that the road projects have improved movement between the city centre and satellite areas, cutting travel time for commuters.
He said contractors delivered quality work and assured that residents are already feeling the benefits of better roads and access.
He added that commissioning of the projects will begin next week, with different government officials expected to represent the President at various events.
Wike also said new road projects will soon start as the FCT continues its infrastructure drive to modernise Abuja.
