Tinubu Daughter Rejects Lagos APC Primaries

President Bola Tinubu’s daughter, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, has threatened a protest over the outcome of the Lagos APC primaries ahead of the 2027 elections.

The dispute followed the release of APC candidates for House of Representatives and Lagos State House of Assembly seats.

Tinubu-Ojo questioned results from Mushin Federal Constituency 2, Agege Constituency 2 and Ojokoro. She insisted that some candidates who won at the polls were allegedly denied their mandates.
She urged both state and national APC leaders to investigate the complaints before final approval of the results.
According to her, unresolved issues from the primaries could worsen divisions within the party and weaken unity ahead of the 2027 general elections. She also criticised growing rivalry between the Justice Forum and Mandate Group factions.
Tinubu-Ojo maintained that market women and traders would continue supporting the APC and the governorship ambition of Obafemi Hamzat.
She, however, said party members and grassroots supporters deserved fair treatment and inclusion in political decisions. Her comments have added fresh tension to the APC’s internal battles in Lagos.
