ADC Confirms Malami For Governorship Race
The African Democratic Congress has confirmed former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, as its governorship candidate in Kebbi State for the 2027 general elections.
The announcement was made in a statement released on Sunday by his media aide, Mohammed Doka.
The party also confirmed candidates for the three senatorial districts in the state.
Aminu Bande emerged for Kebbi Central, Ibrahim Mera secured Kebbi North, while Garba Limi was picked for Kebbi South.
According to the statement, the party leadership and supporters across Kebbi agreed on the candidates after consultations aimed at strengthening the ADC ahead of the elections.
The party said it remains focused on leadership, security and development in the state.
In Kwara State, former House of Representatives member Zakari Mohammed emerged as the ADC governorship candidate after polling 18,860 votes in a direct primary.
Several senatorial and House of Representatives candidates also emerged during the exercise monitored by INEC officials.
