The Kano State Government has alleged that former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, may be indirectly supporting President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.

Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Director General of Media and Publicity at the Kano Government House, said some politicians openly support the president while others do so quietly.

He also stated that Kwankwaso’s past political moves could still benefit Tinubu, noting that the NNPP leader had played roles that influenced the 2023 election outcome.

The Kano government spokesperson further added that the ruling party in the state would openly support Tinubu in 2027.
