The assurance comes after armed men abducted schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area, an incident that has caused tension across nearby communities.

The attack has raised concern among parents, students and residents over safety in the region.

University officials said they are working with security agencies to monitor developments and prevent any threat from affecting academic activities.

They added that learning will continue as planned, with safety arrangements in place.

Students were urged to remain calm and go about their normal activities while staying alert. The school also advised the public to rely on verified information and avoid spreading panic.
