Wike Praises Abuja Road Project

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing Gomani-Yangoji road project in Abuja.

During an inspection on Thursday, he said the development supports President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at extending infrastructure to satellite communities.

Wike explained that the Tinubu administration directed the FCT to focus on rural and satellite towns instead of concentrating projects only within the city centre.

According to him, the move is designed to improve connectivity and reduce pressure caused by rural-urban migration.
The minister disclosed that the 13-kilometre road project, being handled by Zeberced Construction Company, had reached an advanced stage.
He noted that the bridge had already been launched, while drainage works and installation of streetlight pillars were nearing completion.
Wike added that the road would likely be inaugurated during activities marking President Tinubu’s third anniversary in office this June.
He also praised the contractor for maintaining quality work and sticking to the agreed timeline.
