PGF Rejects Uzodimma Removal
The Progressive Governors Forum has dismissed reports claiming its chairman, Hope Uzodimma, was removed from office.
The forum described the reports as false and misleading amid rising political speculation over its leadership.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the forum’s Director-General, Folorunso Aluko, the secretariat said no meeting was held to discuss or approve the removal of the chairman.
It maintained that Uzodimma remains the recognised leader of the body.
The forum also stated that it had no record of any resolution or decision removing the Imo governor from his position.
According to the statement, the reports being circulated online were baseless and did not reflect the position of the governors’ forum.
The PGF urged party members, supporters and the public to ignore the claims and avoid spreading false information.
The forum added that it remains united and focused on its responsibilities despite the growing political rumours.
