The House of Representatives has approved the 2026 budget of the Federal Capital Territory Administration valued at N2.285 trillion.

Lawmakers passed the budget on Thursday after adopting a report presented by Muktar Aliyu Betara during plenary.

From the approved amount, N165.7 billion was set aside for personnel costs, while N378.2 billion will cover overhead expenses.
The largest share, N1.741 trillion, was allocated to capital projects aimed at improving infrastructure and public services across Abuja.
The House also approved the 2026 budget of the Niger Delta Development Commission valued at N1.750 trillion. The report was presented by Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu.
Lawmakers said the approved budgets would support development projects, administration and infrastructure in both the FCT and the Niger Delta region throughout the 2026 fiscal year.
