Nigerians Flee Home Amid South Africa Unrest

Nigerians in South Africa are facing rising attacks as violence against foreign nationals spreads across cities like Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Demonstrators have been seen carrying sticks and ordering foreigners to leave, with chants like “From now on, we don’t want foreigners in this town.

We are fixing our South Africa now” and “Take your wife and go back to your country. Take your children and go and raise them at home.”

Authorities in South Africa have condemned the violence, calling it unlawful and against human rights.

Meanwhile, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission says talks are ongoing with officials as the situation unfolds.
