Fayose Meets Olubadan Privately
Former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose met privately with Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on Tuesday in Ibadan, as political tension grew in Oyo State.
The visit came shortly after claims surfaced about a possible move against the monarch.
The closed-door meeting took place at the monarch’s residence in Ibadan and lasted about 30 minutes.
Fayose arrived quietly and spoke briefly to journalists, stating that his visit was to stand with the traditional institution during the ongoing controversy.
The situation began after Fayose accused Seyi Makinde of planning to remove the Olubadan.
The claim stirred reactions across the state, but both the government and the palace dismissed it, insisting there was no conflict between them.
Despite those denials, fresh rumours have surfaced suggesting a possible move by the state assembly against the governor, allegedly linked to the palace.
Details remain unclear, but the developments have deepened uncertainty in the state’s political space.
