Wike Camp Takes Control Of PDP Secretariat
The Nigeria Police Force has reopened the Peoples Democratic Party national secretariat in Abuja and handed control to a faction linked to Nyesom Wike.
The move has intensified the ongoing leadership crisis within the party.
The development happened on Saturday at the Wadata Plaza headquarters, which had been shut for months after clashes between rival groups.
Police also reopened Legacy House in Maitama, returning both properties to the faction led by Abdulrahman Mohammed and Samuel Anyanwu.
Supporters of the decision said it followed valid court orders and marked a step toward restoring order within the party.
They urged members to accept the outcome and focus on unity going forward.
However, the rival camp loyal to Tanimu Turaki rejected the action, arguing that the matter is still in court.
The group warned that enforcing the ruling now could worsen tensions and promised to pursue legal steps.
