Fayose Alleges Plot Against Olubadan
Former Ekiti governor Ayo Fayose has accused Seyi Makinde of planning to remove the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja.
He made the claim in a post shared on social media.
Fayose alleged that the move would begin with official queries over the monarch’s absence at a recent coronation ceremony in Ibadan.
He suggested that the action could signal a wider plan against the traditional ruler.
The allegation comes amid reports of tension between the palace and the state government.
However, the Olubadan Palace has denied any disagreement, insisting there is no conflict.
The palace also clarified that the monarch did not intentionally miss the event and remains active in his duties.
The development has added to growing political debate in the state.
