Many families have fled to nearby towns like Zaria and Saminaka in search of safety.

Community leaders said the violence began late 2025 and has continued into this year, leaving deaths, kidnappings and destroyed homes behind.

Several villages have been affected, with people abandoning their properties to escape repeated attacks.

The crisis has disrupted daily life, including worship and social activities, with dozens of mosques and churches shut down.

Residents also said kidnappers have taken over 1,000 people, while huge sums have been paid to secure releases.

They blamed the situation on poor security presence, saying officers respond only after attacks and do not stay.

The communities are now urging authorities to deploy permanent security to restore peace and allow displaced residents return home.
