Police Deploys Officers To Kwara For Easter

Police in Kwara State have deployed officers across Ilorin and other parts of the state ahead of the Easter celebration to keep the period calm and safe.

The move is aimed at protecting lives and property while maintaining order as large crowds gather for religious and social events.

Security personnel have been stationed at churches, event centres, highways, and other busy public places.

Patrol teams and tactical units are also on standby to respond quickly to any incident. The arrangement covers the entire state, with closer attention on areas expected to host large gatherings.


The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, said the operation is designed to ensure a smooth celebration.


“Personnel have been strategically positioned at churches, event centres, highways, recreational locations, and other public spaces.


The Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, said officers have been placed on high alert and directed to carry out their duties with discipline.


“We have put in place adequate security measures across the state. Our officers have been deployed to critical points, and we will not relent in ensuring that lives and property are protected throughout the festive period,” he said.
