The President said the law followed due process, including legislative scrutiny and public input, and should not be portrayed as harmful to democracy.

He maintained that the Act reflects efforts to strengthen elections and should not be reduced to partisan arguments.

Addressing concerns about a one-party system, Tinubu said his administration supports a strong opposition, adding that democracy works best when leaders are challenged.

He also pointed to growing support for the APC as a sign of public trust, while warning party members against internal divisions.

Tinubu used the platform to defend his economic reforms, admitting they are tough but necessary.

He said the country is gradually moving towards stability, with signs of improvement in key sectors and growing investor confidence.
