PDP Moves To Rebuild Ahead Of Convention
The Peoples Democratic Party has said it is entering a new phase of unity and rebuilding as it prepares for its national convention later this month.
The party’s leadership made this known during its 107th National Executive Committee meeting held on March 23, 2026.
Party officials noted that recent state and zonal congresses across the country were largely peaceful and orderly, with members urged to see their emergence as leaders as a call to serve and strengthen the party.
They also stressed the need for unity among members, regardless of contest outcomes.
The leadership commended key figures, including Okezie Ikpeazu and Nyesom Wike, for their roles in stabilising the party and supporting preparations for the upcoming convention scheduled for March 29 and 30.
The party said it has made progress in resolving internal challenges through dialogue and legal processes, urging members to prioritise collective interest over personal ambition as it works to reposition itself as a strong political force in Nigeria.
