Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso hosted top political figures in Kano during the Sallah celebrations, drawing attention as talks of a possible opposition alliance ahead of the 2027 elections continue to grow.
Among those present were Peter Obi, Seyi Makinde, and Seriake Dickson, alongside other political figures.
The visitors were received earlier at the airport before heading to Kwankwaso’s residence for a private meeting.
Speaking during the visit, Obi said the gathering was to mark Sallah and honour Kwankwaso, while also pointing to the need to revive Kano’s industries and restore its economic strength.
The meeting drew a large crowd of supporters who welcomed the leaders.
