FG Bans Roadblocks For Tax Collection
The Federal Government has banned the use of roadblocks for collecting taxes and levies across the country.
The directive prohibits any agency or task force from mounting checkpoints to demand payments from motorists and businesses.
Officials said the move is aimed at curbing illegal collections, harassment of road users and revenue leakages.
The government stressed that all taxes and levies must be collected through approved and transparent channels.
Authorities warned that anyone found violating the directive will face sanctions, as efforts continue to reform the nation’s revenue system and improve ease of doing business.
