In a public notice, IKEDC urged both prepaid and postpaid customers to comply within the deadline.

It warned that failure to submit the required tax details may lead to disruption of electricity supply.

The company explained that the move is aimed at improving customer data accuracy and meeting statutory obligations.

Customers were advised to use designated channels to update their information promptly.

The announcement has sparked mixed reactions, with some consumers calling for clearer communication on how the policy will be implemented.
