It explained that passport services remain open to all eligible Nigerians across the country, regardless of where they come from.

According to the service, applications are processed using the same rules and procedures nationwide.

The Immigration Service said the report could cause unnecessary worry and distrust among the public.

It noted that no region has been singled out or treated differently in passport issuance.

The agency urged Nigerians to rely on verified information and official updates, adding that it remains committed to fair service delivery and equal access for all citizens.
