Wike Says No Governor Mobilizer Needed For Tinubu
The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has assured that Rivers State is fully prepared to support President Bola Tinubu’s reelection in 2027, saying the people do not need a governor to mobilize for the campaign.
Wike spoke in Port Harcourt during the commissioning of the Rivers State Renewed Hope Ambassadors headquarters, which includes office facilities, a situation room, radio station, and a fleet of vehicles for the movement.
He credited the coordinator, Desmond Akawor, for extensive grassroots mobilisation across all 23 local governments, and described the state’s commitment to Tinubu as independent of any governor’s influence.
The Minister urged the group to expand to wards and units to strengthen local support, stressing that the state is “battle ready” and capable of driving the campaign through unity and organisation alone.
