An abducted traditional ruler in Kwara State has regained freedom after his family paid a N12 million ransom to secure his release.

The abduction happened when gunmen reportedly stormed the area and whisked the monarch away to an unknown location. His disappearance drew concern from locals and prompted efforts by family members to negotiate with the kidnappers.
