Those present at the meeting included Wike, Nigeria Labour Congress President Joe Ajaero, Trade Union Congress President Festus Osifo, and other labour leaders. The talks began shortly before midnight and ended around 3:50 am on Tuesday.

Speaking after the meeting, Acting General Secretary of the NLC, Benson Upah, said no worker would be punished for participating in the strike.

He also confirmed that all cases involving the dispute at the National Industrial Court would be withdrawn immediately.

Upah said all grievances raised by members of the Joint Unions Action Committee were discussed and resolved during the meeting. He added that Wike assured labour leaders of continued dialogue and mutual respect.

Following the agreement, all FCTA workers who are members of the NLC and TUC were directed to resume work immediately in the interest of industrial peace.
