National Grid Fails Again
Nigeria’s national power grid has suffered another collapse, plunging several parts of the country into darkness.
The incident happened on Thursday, disrupting electricity supply across states and affecting homes, businesses, and public services.
Power distribution companies confirmed the outage, saying the grid failure led to a sudden drop in supply nationwide. Many areas recorded complete blackouts, while others experienced unstable power shortly before supply was cut.
Although the exact cause of the collapse is yet to be made public, grid failures in Nigeria are often linked to technical faults, poor infrastructure, and system overload.
Efforts are usually made to restore supply gradually once the grid is stabilised.
The latest collapse has sparked fresh frustration among Nigerians, who continue to face unreliable electricity despite repeated assurances from authorities.
Power companies say updates will be provided as restoration work continues.
