Kaduna Community Shaken By Over 100 Abduction

More than 100 churchgoers were abducted on Sunday when armed bandits attacked several churches in Kurmin Wali, a community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident happened during church services, when the attackers reportedly arrived suddenly and moved from one church to another, forcing worshippers to leave with them. A source who has relatives among the victims confirmed the abductions and said the situation caused panic across the area.

The assault took place in broad daylight, showing how bold the attackers had become. Residents said the bandits operated freely for a period before leaving with their captives, while security forces were alerted after the incident.

Reports indicate that about ten abducted persons described as vulnerable were later released by the attackers. The whereabouts of the remaining victims remain unknown as families anxiously await updates.
Security agencies and government authorities have been informed, and investigations are ongoing. Officials are yet to release a formal statement as efforts continue to track the abductors and rescue those still in captivity.
The attack adds to a growing list of violent incidents in Kaduna State. Earlier this month, bandits reportedly killed four members of a family in Kachia town during a night raid near the Federal University of Applied Science, leaving several others injured and deepening fear among residents.
