The decision was taken by the Joint Union Action Congress, which represents workers across various cadres within the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
Union leaders said the action was triggered by unresolved welfare and labour issues, accusing authorities of failing to respond to long-standing demands affecting workers’ wellbeing and conditions of service.

The strike is expected to disrupt activities in all FCT secretariats, departments, agencies, area councils and parastatals, with civil servants directed to withdraw their services once the action begins.
Labour leaders said the strike would remain in force until concrete steps are taken to address the grievances, warning that government operations in the nation’s capital could remain stalled for an extended period.
