Wike insisted that neither he nor his supporters will allow anyone to disrupt their efforts to back Tinubu for a second term.
Speaking during a “thank you” visit to Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Wike recalled how Rivers State residents had stood by him and supported Tinubu in the 2023 election, defying expectations. He stressed that those who had not participated in the 2023 campaign could not suddenly claim leadership in the Renewed Hope Family movement.

Local leaders joined Wike in commending Tinubu’s administration. The Mayor of Port Harcourt, Sir Allwell Ihunda, acknowledged the role of democratically elected council chairmen and praised Wike’s governance, noting the many projects that had improved life in the state.
Women and youth representatives also applauded Wike for increasing participation in leadership roles, citing appointments of women as vice chairmen in all local government areas. Members of the State Assembly reaffirmed their loyalty, promising continued support for Wike and Tinubu in the upcoming election.
