He spoke during his thank you visit to Andoni Local Government Area, where he addressed supporters and community leaders.
Wike said unity has already brought visible progress to Andoni and other parts of the state. He noted that when leaders at both local and state levels work as one, development becomes easier and more lasting.

He assured the people that Andoni would gain more projects and opportunities if unity is sustained.
The former Rivers governor said political actors in the state are now aligned under a broad alliance known as the Renewed Hope Family, also called the Rainbow Coalition. According to him, the group is focused on supporting President Bola Tinubu’s return for a second term in 2027, building on the support given in the 2023 election.

He also hinted at changes ahead in Rivers politics, saying decisions would be taken at the right time to address errors made during the last election cycle. The message, he said, was about shared interest rather than party loyalty.
Local leaders echoed his remarks. The lawmaker representing Andoni pledged continued loyalty, while the council chairman said party leaders in the area had been mobilised to back Tinubu in 2027. They praised Wike for past projects, job opportunities, and political support delivered to the area during his time as governor.
