Abia State Governor Alex Otti inspected the Umuahia Central Bus Terminal on Wednesday as the project enters its final stage.

The visit formed part of his routine inspection of ongoing infrastructure projects across the state.
The terminal, located in Umuahia, is meant to serve as a central transport hub and replace the many scattered motor parks within the city. The project is aimed at improving order, safety, and convenience for commuters.
Otti said the idea follows global practice by bringing all transport services into one organised location. He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and said the project is close to completion, though quality will not be rushed.
The Commissioner for Transport, Chimezie Ukaegbu, said all existing parks in Umuahia will be moved to the new terminal, with a similar facility also being built in Aba.
