Residents of the Federal Capital Territory received a New Year message from FCT Minister Nyesom Wike on January 1, 2026, as he outlined plans, expectations, and priorities for the year ahead.

Wike said the message was directed at all residents of Abuja and the six area councils, appreciating their support in the past year and calling for continued cooperation to drive development across the territory.

According to him, the FCT Administration plans to deliver visible projects in key sectors including roads, schools, health facilities, transport hubs, security infrastructure, agriculture, and the judiciary, with several projects already lined up for commissioning during the year.
