The declaration was made on Monday during Wike’s visit to Etche and Omuma local government areas, where he met with community leaders, youths, and women groups.
Wike said members of the APC and PDP in the state have chosen cooperation over rivalry, placing development and unity above party loyalty as preparations quietly build toward 2027.

He explained that the growing alliance is driven by shared interests and respect, noting that progress is easier when political actors work as one rather than pulling in different directions.
The former Rivers governor added that his visit was not a campaign but a show of appreciation for years of support, urging leaders to keep agreements that promote peace and stability.
He also praised local council chairmen for maintaining calm in their areas, stressing that unity at the grassroots creates better outcomes for communities.
Wike ended by thanking residents for their cooperation, saying the calm reception reflected a new political maturity in Rivers State and a collective focus on development over division.
