In Rivers State, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reaffirmed his loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, saying his support for the president remains firm despite political pressure.

Wike spoke on Saturday in Ochigba, Ahoada East Local Government Area, during an end-of-year thanksgiving service hosted by former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche, where he met with Peoples Democratic Party stakeholders.
He said his political camp stood with Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election when support was risky in Rivers State, adding that the decision was taken with conviction, not convenience.

Wike explained that his political style is built on standing by agreements and taking clear positions, noting that consistency and courage have defined his choices over the years.
He assured supporters that their efforts would not be wasted and urged them to remain united and focused as political activities resume fully in the new year, stressing that his backing for Tinubu remains unchanged.
