Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has praised the Director General of the Department of State Services, Oluwatosin Ajayi, following his recognition by the Nigerian chapter of the International Press Institute.

The commendation was given at the IPI annual conference held earlier this month in Abuja, where media leaders and public officials gathered to discuss press freedom and security relations in Nigeria.
Abiodun spoke on Saturday in Abeokuta through a statement, describing the honour as proof that professionalism and democratic values can thrive within the country’s security system.
The governor said the recognition reflects Ajayi’s leadership style since taking office, noting his commitment to discipline, decency, and respect for journalists while carrying out national security duties.
