A Flybird Aircraft Management Services Limited private jet made an emergency landing on Sunday morning at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano after developing a technical issue while arriving from Abuja.
The aircraft, with registration number 5N ISB, touched down at about 9:30 am with 11 people on board, including three crew members, causing brief concern at the airport.
According to eyewitness accounts, airport officials quickly moved in after landing, and all passengers and crew were calmly evacuated from the jet without any injuries or loss of life.
Flybird’s General Manager, Dr Tracy Wilson, confirmed that the aircraft encountered an operational problem during arrival but said the flight crew handled the situation professionally and brought the aircraft to a complete stop.
She explained that safety procedures were fully followed, the aircraft was secured immediately, and the incident was reported to the appropriate aviation authorities for further action.
Flybird stated that technical checks and investigations are ongoing in line with aviation rules, adding that the company remains committed to passenger safety and full cooperation with regulators.
