Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu says the rise in the number of governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress shows how Nigerians are responding to the party’s direction.
He spoke while assessing recent political trends that have seen the APC secure more states across the country. Sanwo-Olu noted that the shift did not happen suddenly but followed what he described as a steady pattern over the past election cycles.
According to him, the development is tied to how more Nigerians are choosing the APC as the party they believe can manage national affairs. He said the growing list of APC-controlled states sends a message about voter confidence and the party’s influence at the grassroots.
Sanwo-Olu explained that the party has continued to expand its network by engaging communities and responding to local concerns. He said this approach has helped shape the APC’s presence across different regions.
He added that the momentum seen in recent elections suggests that the party is building a wider base ahead of future contests.
The governor expressed confidence that the APC would continue to strengthen its reach as more states join its fold.
