APC governorship aspirant Iyiola Omisore has criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, saying he would not qualify to be a commissioner in his cabinet.

Omisore spoke in Abuja after submitting his APC nomination forms for the 2026 governorship race.

He mocked Adeleke as a “dancing governor,” claiming he lacks competence and has turned governance into entertainment. Omisore said Osun needs a leader with maturity, experience, and clear ideas, insisting he offers a “superior alternative.”
He ruled out a consensus for the APC primary, saying all nine aspirants will contest. On zoning, he dismissed the debate as a “lazy argument,” noting that all zones have produced governors.
Omisore also promised prudent resource management, warned against excessive taxation, and pledged to respect traditional kingmaking processes without government interference.
