The All Progressives Congress has dismissed Governor Ademola Adeleke’s self-assessment of his three years in office, giving him what it called a zero scorecard.

Adeleke, in his broadcast marking his third anniversary, said Osun State had become a model for good governance. He listed the challenges he met on assumption of office, including unpaid pensions and salaries, collapsed infrastructure, poor exam results, weak healthcare, corruption in mining, and neglect of technology, sports and agriculture. He claimed the situation has since improved.

But at a press conference in Osogbo, APC chairman Tajudeen Lawal, represented by Kola Olabisi, accused Adeleke of painting a false picture. He said the governor had failed to hire teachers, abandoned the agriculture sector and prioritised projects that “attract public funds,” such as flyovers and roads the party claims are substandard.
The APC also accused him of favouring his hometown and family, alleging that most projects and appointments are concentrated around his community.
