Tinubu Vows To Secure Every Nigerian

President Bola Tinubu has restated his commitment to ending insecurity in the country, saying he will not stop working until every citizen feels safe.

His message, shared on Sunday through his official X handle, came at a time when the nation is dealing with multiple abductions across various states.

The President addressed Nigerians directly, stressing that safety is the right of every citizen. He said his administration’s priority is to build a country where no one fears for their life, no matter where they live.

Tinubu also revealed why he cancelled his planned trip to the G20 summit in Johannesburg. He explained that he chose to stay back and coordinate security efforts after a series of kidnappings, including the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi and worshippers in Kwara. Vice President Kashim Shettima attended the summit on his behalf.

As he reviewed ongoing rescue operations, the President announced positive developments. He confirmed the rescue of 38 worshippers who were taken from a church in Eruku, Kwara State. He further stated that 51 children abducted from a Catholic school in Niger State had been recovered in the last few days.

Tinubu credited these results to the work of security agencies who, he said, have been operating around the clock. He promised that his administration would continue to give them all the support needed to track down kidnappers and restore peace.

He assured Nigerians that he is monitoring the situation closely, receiving constant updates from those on the frontline. He called for patience and unity, noting that his government remains focused on securing the release of all remaining victims.

The President said his resolve remains firm and that he will continue directing security operations until the country is safe for everyone.
