A suspected Ansaru commander, Abdulazeez Obadaki, has confessed to leading the deadly attack on worshippers at a Deeper Life Bible Church in Kogi State in 2012.
He was rearrested by the Department of State Services after being on the run for more than three years.
Security sources said Obadaki, known as Bomboy, also made fresh revelations about the 2022 Kuje prison break, which he admitted to planning after his transfer from Kabba Custodial Centre. He had earlier escaped during the jailbreak.
Obadaki is also linked to the armed robbery of five banks in Uromi, Edo State, where several people were killed and large sums of money stolen.
At least 19 people were killed in the Kogi church shooting, including the pastor. The arrest comes two months after five suspects were arraigned over the Owo church attack.
