Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose at his Lagos residence ahead of Fayose’s 65th birthday celebration.
Osinbajo congratulated the former governor, whose birthday comes up on November 15, describing him as a resilient and steadfast Nigerian known for his strong convictions.
The former Vice President explained that he decided to visit early since he would not be available to attend the celebration on the birthday itself.
During the visit, both leaders exchanged warm pleasantries and reflected on their years of public service, with Osinbajo commending Fayose’s boldness and passion in pursuing his beliefs.
Fayose appreciated the gesture, noting that the visit was a mark of friendship and mutual respect despite political differences.
The brief meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, symbolising unity and goodwill among statesmen across party lines.
