The African Network for Peace and Good Governance (ANPGG) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to make public detailed information on polling units, voting points, and electoral wards across Nigeria.

The group made the appeal in an open letter addressed to INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, and shared with journalists in Enugu. The letter, signed by ANPGG Executive Director Bede Aneke, urged the commission to publish up-to-date data showing the number and locations of polling stations, wards, and voting points in each state.

According to Aneke, releasing the information would make it easier for citizens to identify their polling units and improve accessibility, especially in rural areas where voters often face challenges locating their voting points. He noted that open access to such data would also support election monitoring, planning, and dispute resolution by ensuring transparency in resource distribution and logistics.
