In his announcement, the former deputy governor called on party members and residents of the state to join him in what he described as a collective effort to rebuild and reposition Osun. He said his decision followed deep reflection and wide consultations across political and community lines.
Omisore, who previously served as a senator and played key roles in Osun’s political scene, said his goal is to restore hope, strengthen governance, and create a better future for all citizens of the state.
His declaration sets the stage for an intense political buildup within the APC ahead of the 2026 polls, as the party works to reclaim the state’s leadership.
