The Federal Government has announced that Wednesday, October 1, 2025, will be observed as a public holiday to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

The announcement was made in Abuja through a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior on Monday. The declaration was made on behalf of the government by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
