Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, has revealed that about ₦20 billion has been raised so far for the completion of the National Library project.

She made this known on Tuesday during a lunch with State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to mark her 65th birthday. Tinubu described the initiative as her legacy gift to the nation.

According to her, instead of receiving cakes, gifts, or birthday adverts, she appealed to Nigerians to channel their goodwill toward funding the library. She stressed that the gesture was not politically motivated but born out of her desire to serve the country.
