Olubadan Designate Ladoja To Visit Alma mater After Coronation

The Olubadan-designate of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has announced plans to visit his alma mater, Ibadan Boys’ High School, after his coronation as the 44th Olubadan.

The former Oyo State governor revealed this at his Bodija residence in Ibadan while receiving a delegation from the school led by the principal, Dr Rasheed Fasasi. He said he was eager to reconnect with the institution where he not only studied but also served as a teacher of Physics and Mathematics.

Oba Ladoja promised to take part in a classroom session with students during the visit, where he will return to the blackboard to teach the subjects he once handled. He commended the school’s management for the courtesy visit and praised the leadership of Dr Fasasi for sustaining the reputation of the institution as a model of learning.

For the principal, the planned visit will be a historic moment that will inspire students and deepen the bond between the new Olubadan and his roots. He described Ladoja as a leader with a strong legacy in public service, recalling his efforts in civil service reform and education during his time as governor.

Dr Fasasi, who is also a prince from the Aliiwo Royal Family of Ibadanland, expressed confidence that the city will experience steady growth under the reign of Oba Ladoja. He congratulated the Olubadan-designate and wished him a peaceful and productive tenure.
