Aare Musulumi Felicitates Olubadan, Designate Condoles Ayefele Over Fresh FM Fire

The Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, has congratulated the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, describing his ascension as the beginning of a new chapter for Ibadanland.

Leading a delegation of Islamic and community leaders to the monarch’s residence at Bodija, Ibadan, Akinola expressed gratitude to Allah for sparing Ladoja’s life and guiding him to the royal stool. He said the emergence of the new king would usher in peace, progress and unity across the city.

“The excitement in Ibadan is evident and reflects the genuine love the people have for their new king. I pray this love brings about unity, harmony and prosperity under his reign,” Akinola said.

A special prayer session was conducted by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdul Ganiy Abubakri Agbotomokekere, asking Allah to bless the Olubadan-designate with long life, good health and a peaceful reign.

Prominent figures in the delegation included the Iyalaje Adinni of Yorubaland, Alhaja Sidikatu Bolade Aderibigbe; the Asiwaju Adinni of Oyo State, Alhaji Mutiullah Oladejo Onimalu; the Iyaloja of Ibadanland, Alhaja Riswat Amerigun; Professor Kamil Koyejo Oloso; and Sheikh Mudathir Bada, Chief Imam of Oluyole Estate Extension.

In a separate move, Akinola also sent a team to Fresh FM headquarters in Ibadan to commiserate with founder Dr. Yinka Ayefele and the management following the fire that affected the station.

Represented by Alhaji Mutiullah Oladejo Onimalu, Sheikh Mudathir Bada and other Islamic leaders, the delegation prayed for the station’s resilience and continued growth.

Commending Fresh FM for its contributions to society and consistent support for Islamic programmes, Akinola expressed confidence that the setback would pave the way for greater achievements.

“Fresh FM has become a voice for the people and a bridge among communities. We stand with you at this time and pray for renewed success,” he said.
